The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently checking out the Fernie 2 Neighborhood Hall in Mpuluzi to render providers for the community.

SASSA is going to be rendering expert services like new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer treatment enquiries, plus the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In an announcement, the agency reported it's alarmed about the higher amount of people depending on social grants for survival.
“The purpose of your Integrated sassa status Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to some significant amount of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This is because of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no fully functional office devoted to service the area regularly. The company place designed for intervention encounters a high inflow of likely beneficiaries, which makes it difficult with the Workplace to attend to all people who pay a visit to a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise much more resources to help the servicing of all shoppers and enhance entry to Social Assistance services,” the agency said.
